Approved water-sewer rate increases in Brookneal effective 7/1/24

The Brookneal Town Council approved the FY25 budget along with the following water and sewer rate increases for FY25, FY26, and FY27.  The last water rate increase was in FY16, and the last sewer rate increase was in FY21.  Due to increasing labor and chemical costs, the expenses of the water/sewer fund have increased significantly over the past few years.

(BASE RATE IS UP TO 2000 GALLONS, $6.80 PER 1,000 GALLONS OVER 2,000 MINIMUM)

APPROVED SEWER RATE INCREASE FOR FY25, FY26, AND FY27

(BASE RATE IS BASED ON 2,000 GALLONS OF WATER CONSUMPTION, $2.67 PER 1,000 GALLONS OVER 2,000 MINIMUM)
